At Avgoulea-Linardatou School, Primary students’ progress and learning are carefully nurtured through a variety of assessments designed to support growth and confidence. Throughout Grades A – ST, students complete regular subject-based assessments each semester, including mid-year and end-of-year tests, with plenty of notice so they can prepare and feel confident. At the start of the year, diagnostic assessments in Greek Language and Mathematics help teachers understand each child’s strengths and areas for support. Short, informal assessments during the year give teachers quick insight into understanding, allowing them to guide learning, provide encouragement, and ensure every student develops the knowledge and skills they need to thrive.
Students grow in confidence, curiosity, and independence through daily interactions that encourage collaboration, positive behaviors, and respect for others. They develop key social, emotional, and thinking skills while exploring, creating, and learning in a supportive environment. In Primary School, students strengthen their English and Greek skills through daily core lessons and extended curriculum opportunities that reinforce language, literacy, and communication. English comes alive through projects, theatre, competitions, library work, and summer schools, preparing students confidently for Cambridge exams such as YLE–Flyers and KET.From Grade C, students can begin a second language - French or German - with additional weekly lessons to deepen learning, build confidence, and foster a lifelong love of communication. Beyond the core curriculum, students can also explore Chinese as an extracurricular activity (ECA), expanding their multilingual capabilities and global awareness.
Primary students engage with peers from around the world through ISP’s International Learning Programmes (ILOs), including ISP Scientists, ISP Artists, ISP Chess Masters, ISP Changemakers, and ISP Street Child United. They confidently lead initiatives, collaborate, and have fun while developing an international mindset. Through daily and multi-day excursions, students explore cultural, sports, and nature-focused experiences that spark curiosity, creativity, teamwork, and personal growth. Our Outdoor Summer Camp further offers young learners the chance to engage in nature-based activities amid beaches and lush forests, fostering independence, collaboration, and a love for the environment. Students also participate in Erasmus+ programs, taking part in international projects and exchanges that broaden horizons, deepen cultural understanding, and strengthen global connections.
Exploring the digital world
Students explore the digital world safely, learning to browse, research, and organize information responsibly. From Grades A – C they discover basic coding through interactive applications, while from Grade D they use Office 365 and Microsoft TEAMS to collaborate, complete projects and quizzes, and strengthen digital literacy and online safety awareness.
STEM learning
Students explore STEM in exciting, hands-on ways, gaining knowledge in Physics, Technology, Mathematics, and Engineering. Through engaging activities, they develop problem-solving skills, teamwork, and creativity. They learn to program robots, assemble mechanical structures, write code, and interact innovatively with technology, applying ideas in practical, fun, and meaningful ways while building confidence and curiosity in scientific and technological fields.

The Avgoulea Linardatou School is a place that truly cares about children and offers them people with whom they can connect to lead them to self-knowledge and the integration of their personality. It’ s the place where diversity is recognized and respect and acceptance of each student’s uniqueness are taught. Knowledge comes as a natural consequence of the multiple stimuli offered as well as the feeling of safety that is provided daily in the classroom. The playful way in which lessons are approached creates a pleasant climate that allows children to collect multiple beautiful memories from their school life.
