On March 3 and 4, our school participated in the Interpretive Reading Competition of Literary Texts, co-organized by the High Schools of Athens College and Psychico College in collaboration with the Secondary Education Directorate of Athens B. The competition was open to students from all grades of General and Vocational High Schools in Attica and focused on the theme “Setting to Music the Poetry of 20th-Century Greek Literary Authors.”The students representing our school were Ioannis Togkas and Panagiotis Chountis. More than 70 students from all high school grades and over 25 public and private schools across Attica took part in the competition.Both students received highly positive evaluations and achieved excellent results. Specifically, Panagiotis Chountis placed 13th in the final rankings and received a commendation, while Ioannis Togkas advanced to the final round and was awarded 4th Prize, receiving outstanding comments and praise from both the evaluators of the participating schools and the final judging committee.The final judging committee consisted of Christos Zafeiropoulos, Philologist and Vice Principal of Modern Education Schools, Elisavet Konstantinidou, actress of theatre, cinema and television, and Giannis Xourias, Professor of Modern Greek Literature at the Department of Philology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
