On Saturday, January 24, 2026, the 2nd Primary School Rhetoric Events Day was held with great success. Our school, warm and welcoming as always, hosted 56 students from five schools:4th Primary School of Kamatero “Dimitrios Nanopoulos”5th Primary School of Cholargos8th Primary School of Haidari14th Primary School of IlionAvgoulea-Linardatou Private Primary SchoolStudents participated in a series of exciting and creative activities:Expressive Reading – “Once Upon a Time”: Students read a fairy tale or literary excerpt of their choice.Impromptu Speaking – “Ariadne’s Thread”: Mixed teams created an improvised story based on a given word.Debate Challenges – “Word Against Word”: Students worked in mixed teams and argued for or against a specific topic.Through these rhetoric activities, students develop advanced language skills, learn to respect diverse viewpoints, evaluate arguments, engage with current affairs and information sources, and express their opinions with strong reasoning. The children, their parents, and the accompanying teachers were delighted with the event. Everyone admired the young participants as they demonstrated confidence, passion, and effective communication skills, overcoming fear and uncertainty while discovering the power of words. It is worth noting that all participating schools are members of the Mikra Molyvia–Vivliodesmoi educational writing community and are currently working on its latest book project. Written and spoken language took center stage alongside the students themselves. The support of teachers and parents was invaluable, as their encouragement and guidance played a vital role in helping students prepare and perform at their best. The event also featured a recorded message from authors Sofia Grammozi and Dimitra Pyrgeli, while three students from Grade 7 (1st Grade of Gymnasium) provided valuable assistance throughout the event by helping coordinate and guide participants. It was truly a wonderful day filled with learning, creativity, and many smiles.Congratulations to everyone involved!
