As part of the French language course, the students of 3rd Grade participated in a creative activity titled “LES CARTES DE NOËL.” The goal was for children to become familiar with French customs and learn basic holiday wishes in a playful and artistic way. Step by step process: LEARN: We started by learning vocabulary. The children learned to say “JOYEUX NOËL” (Merry Christmas) and “BONNE ANNÉE” (Happy New Year). CREATE: Using colorful cardboard, glitter, stickers, and markers, each child designed their own unique card. WRITE: Inside the card, the young students wrote their first French sentences in beautiful handwriting, addressed to family or friends. Benefits for the children: Through this activity, the foreign language is no longer just a textbook subject but becomes expression and communication. The children experienced the joy of giving, as their cards will decorate their homes, sharing the holiday spirit in two languages. “Learning a language is the key to a new world, and our students are already holding the key to creativity!”
