The 5th-grade students of our School had the pleasure of participating in the sports program “I Love Sports – Kids Athletics,” which took place on the track of the Panathenaic Stadium (Kallimarmaro).During their visit, they toured the museum area and were informed about the history of the stadium as well as the history of the Olympic Games. Then, under the guidance of coaches (Olympic medalists and champions in various sports), they took part in athletic events and cooperative team games adapted to the stadium track.They also had the special honor of meeting the President of the Hellenic Olympic Academy and two-time Olympic medalist on rings, Mr. Dimosthenis Tampakos, with whom they spoke and asked questions, receiving kind and thoughtful answers.Our students experienced a unique day, keeping as a lasting memory the energy and grandeur of this magnificent and historic stadium.
