On Monday, December 22, students from our High School visited the historic building of the School of Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), located on Patision Avenue. The students were welcomed by the Dean of the School, Professor Matthaios Papavasileiou, while the tour and presentation were conducted by Associate Professor Vasileios Gkikapeppas. During the visit, students had the opportunity to explore the academic environment, including the library, classrooms, and laboratories. They also observed part of a typical Architectural Design class, where professors supervised and discussed students’ models and design projects. Through their discussion with Professor Gkikapeppas, the students gained valuable insights into the relationship between Architecture, Art, Technology, and the Environment. This experience helped them understand architecture not only as a profession but also as a creative means of designing buildings and shaping spaces that meet human needs. We warmly thank Professor Papavasileiou for welcoming our school and granting the visit, as well as Professor Gkikapeppas for the time he dedicated to our students and for sharing his expertise and passion for architecture.
