On Tuesday, November 11, our Grade 11 students and the Economics groups of Grade 12 attended an extremely interesting lecture as part of the school’s career guidance program.The speaker, Mr. Michalis Rikos, Investment Advisor at JP Morgan Luxembourg, shared his personal journey from his studies to his professional career at one of the world’s largest banks. He highlighted the importance of recognizing and developing personal talents, as well as the role of knowledge, politeness, and curiosity as essential assets for a successful future.He then presented in an accessible way the importance of investments both at a personal level and for economic development. He also explained how young people can start saving or investing, which skills will become more important due to the rise of Artificial Intelligence, and the potential risks and challenges of its use in the banking and investment sector.
