The National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), for the 12th consecutive year (and the first time at the Zografou Campus complex), organized on Friday, September 26, the major European celebration of research, “European Researchers’ Night.”This year’s event focused on research actions addressing the climate crisis with social participation and innovation, the green, blue, and digital transition, sustainability, health, and quality of life.A delegation of high school students, accompanied by teachers Vasilis Varvarigos, Nikos Kambani, Giouli Kountourioti, and Georgia Chatzistergiou, toured the laboratories of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering as well as the School of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering.A special highlight was the presentation of a project (Prometheus Eco Racing) by a former student of our School, who participated in the event and had previously been distinguished in an international competition.Students also had the opportunity to explore exhibition booths, learn about research outcomes, observe innovative experiments, high-tech and artificial intelligence applications, and digital activities, and finally engage with researchers by asking questions.Researchers’ Night aims to bring science closer to society and inspire young people, especially students, toward the fascinating world of research and science.
