On Tuesday, November 4, the students of the 5th Grade at Avgoulea–Linardatou Schools participated in a special educational event organized by their teachers in celebration of World Savings Day, which is observed annually on October 31.Through a variety of engaging activities, students explored the concepts of saving, consumerism, and especially overconsumption, while also learning to distinguish between human needs and wants. The main objective was to help them understand the importance of these concepts from an early age and recognize their impact on everyday life.At the end of the event, using creativity and enthusiasm, the students designed and built their own piggy banks from recyclable materials, combining financial education with environmental awareness.
