On Friday, March 20, students from A’–B’ Lyceum participating in the restructured curriculum, as well as members of the school’s Astronomy Club, took part in a highly engaging educational activity: a “Virtual Visit to the Gemini North Telescope”, one of the largest and most advanced telescopes in the world. The activity was carried out within the framework of the European project PICO – “Physics for All”, giving students the opportunity to observe live astronomical observations and scientific measuring instruments. They also met researchers who presented aspects of their work and answered students’ questions. The connection included access to the telescope’s control center, as well as a virtual tour of the surrounding facilities. This experience offered students a valuable opportunity to engage with real scientific data and discoveries, strengthen their interest in the physical sciences, and connect with the international scientific community.
