On Monday, 16/02/2026, our 11th-grade students visited the Department of Biology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA).After a short presentation of the Department of Biology and its academic field, students had the opportunity to observe first-hand how modern university laboratories operate and to engage with various applications of biological research.In particular, they learned about model organisms and the techniques used to study them. They were also introduced to topics in genetics, biotechnology, and microbiology, as well as anthropology and the study of the human skeleton.The visit helped students connect their theoretical knowledge with real research fields, offering them valuable experiences and an inside perspective on the world of life sciences.
